The Department of Accounting and Economic, offers three (3) accredited programmes;
- Bachelor of Accounting (Hons)
- Bachelor of Business Economics (Honours)
- Bachelor of Economics (Energy) (Honours)
Our Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) programme is designed to provide students with a robust fundamental in financial and management accounting, financial management, auditing, taxation and accounting information systems. We also foster strong relationships with industries, allowing our students to gain valuable real-world exposure through internships. With a curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills, our students are well-equipped to excel in various accounting roles in today's competitive business environment. Graduates of this programme will be able to pursue a variety of careers, including accountant, financial analyst, tax consultant, auditor, management accountant, forensic accountant, and financial planner.

Our academics are engaged in research that spans a wide range of topics, including forensic accounting, corporate social responsibility, financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, and taxation. Our Bachelor of Business Economics (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics (Energy) (Hons) programmes are designed to equip students with a solid foundation in economics, business, and energy, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed for success in today's competitive job market. Our department is always committed to academic excellence and quality education.
For Bachelor of Business Economics (Hons), this program combines economics and business studies, offering a comprehensive understanding of economic principles and their practical applications in the business world. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in finance, marketing, and management. For Bachelor of Economics (Energy) (Hons), this program is tailored to meet the growing demands of the energy sector. Students will explore the economic aspects of energy production, distribution, and sustainability, preparing them for careers in energy policy, management, and consulting.

At the Department of Accounting and Finance, our aspiration has always been to offer the society a high standard of teaching, research and consultation. Currently, we are offering the following programmes:
Knowledge of finance and economics is regarded as an essential component in managing a business. Economics provides the general theoretical framework in which a business operates while finance provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills on how to effectively and efficiently handle business decisions. The finance programme intends to create knowledgeable, competent and well-sought-after professionals with a high degree of aptitude to meet the challenges of the ever-changing business world. Students are exposed to various courses in finance, banking, investment, behavioural sciences, information technology and quantitative skills in mathematics, statistics and research methodology.
We have designed the structure of our accounting programme so as to produce graduates who are relevant to the market, characterised as professionally competent, and more essentially imbued with high level of ethics. Our academics are involved in research that covers a wide area of accounting ranging from the traditional financial accounting, management accounting and taxation to more contemporary issues leading to corporate governance, forensic accounting, corporate social responsibility accounting, and Islamic accounting. This involvement would ensure that our academics are keeping abreast with the current development in accounting which in turn would also bring necessary exposure to students.

For the success of any organisation, irrespective of its size, strong understanding is needed to evaluate the internal and external forces that influence business practices such as human resource management, business law, information technology and so forth. Currently, we are offering the following programmes:
- Bachelor of International Business (Honours)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) (Honours)
- Bachelor of Business Administration Human Resource Management (Honours)
- Bachelor of Business Administration Entrepreneurship and Venture Management (Honours)
The current programmes are accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Business oriented programmes have, over the years, emerged as one of the most sought after areas of study. This is mainly due to the awareness that a country's progress is dependent on the skilful management of its industrial and commercial ventures. Throughout this programme, students will have the opportunity to develop expertise in human resource management through courses in human resource management, training, industrial relations, compensation, performance management, and organisational development and change. Students will also receive well-rounded education in business management – acquiring and developing the skills required for effective management in different business organisations and across various other commercial sectors. In order to meet the current industrial demands, the department established the Work-based Learning (WBL) mode for two (2) programmes, namely BBA (Hons) in Marketing and BBA (Hons) in Human Resource Management.
