In line with the university’s aim to be the country’s first green campus, a fully covered walkway and a cycle path were constructed. The walkway and cycle path connect all the main buildings in UNITEN.

With superb health and wellness facilities on both its campuses, highly qualified staff and well trained management and technical teams, UNITEN is well positioned to face challenges as it strives to be a leading global energy university that shapes a sustainable future.

Hospitals & Clinics

 

At Putrajaya Campus, there are three major Government hospitals -

  • Serdang Hospital (3 km)
  • Kajang Hospital (9 km)
  • Putrajaya Hospital (11 km)

and several private hospitals. There is also an on-campus health and medical centre -  ILSAS (TNB) Dispensary.  Dispensary only provide a first aid area (sick bay) for ill or injured students and staff. The operating hours are as below:

MONDAY - THURSDAY
0800 - 1300
1400 - 1715

FRIDAY
0800 - 1230
1430 – 1700

At Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus (KSHAS), medical treatment can be obtained at the nearby Muadzam Shah Hospital.​​

All registered students of UNITEN are under the protection of the Group Medical Plan.  ETIQA Takaful is the respected healthcare provider for local students.  University has contracted to provide on compulsory basis, sickness and accident insurance (Hospitalization & Surgical and Life Group Insurance). An excellent hospitalisation plan is available to students at a reasonable cost.

REIMBURSEMENT BASIS - LOCAL

  • If the student goes to Government Hospital Or Non Panel Hospitals - the student will have to pay first and claim later
  • Procedure to the event of an accident or illness - a student of parent/next of kin shall complete the Medical Claim Forms and provide supporting documents such as original hospital bills, original hospital receipts, discharge note etc
  • Forward the insurance claim to the Student Affairs Counter at UCC within six (6) months from the date of accident or illness.
