Master of Science in Accounting (By Research) is a programme designed for professional and academics seeking career advancement in accounting, finance, and other business-related areas. The programme comprises taught courses and a thesis. Students are required to produce an accounting related thesis that demonstrates students understanding on the theoretical foundations, ethical judgments, and critical and strategic thinking ability of emerging accounting issues.

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by UNITEN Senate; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 but above a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • Relevant professional accounting qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree as accepted by UNITEN Senate; OR
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by UNITEN Senate; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field below a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the relevant field.
