Towards a competitive and growth of the gas industry, a workshop on gas market liberalisation in Malaysia was held on 11 September 2019 at Putrajaya Marriot Hotel. The event was co-hosted by Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, UNITEN R&D Sdn. Bhd. and Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES). The workshop brought together stakeholders across the entire gas value chain in Malaysia such as PETRONAS, Malaysian Gas Association, MyPOWER, MISIF, MARGMA, Sime Darby, NUR Power Sdn. Bhd., Government agencies and other Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in Malaysia. This workshop aims to discuss the importance of gas market restructuring, Third Party Access (TPA), as well as deliberate the key points for successful implementation in Malaysia.
