The attached growth media in attached growth system is an important element, not only the design and its surface area, but also the positioning in the aeration tank. There are always issues related to maintenance and operation. Attached growth media is one of the main features to improve the attached growth processes, however, arranging and positioning of the media play important role in the process efficiency and operation and maintenance work. The shortcoming likely to appear with the moving attached growth media. The approach followed in this work comprises of screen to fix the attached growth media on its surface, while this screen is flexible and allowing the aeration and flow of the wastewater. Laboratory tests were conducted in addition to simulation, which were indicating positive results. The results were satisfactory when compared to the Environmental Quality (Sewage) Regulations 2009 (Malaysia).
