UPTEN Square Officially Launched: A New Lifestyle Hub for the UNITEN Community
Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) celebrated a significant milestone with the official launch ceremony of UPTEN Square at its Putrajaya Campus on 6 May 2026. Formerly known as the UPTEN Food Court, the venue has undergone a sophisticated transformation, evolving into a vibrant lifestyle hub designed to captivate both the student body and the surrounding community.
The renewed space boasts an array of modern attractions, including multiple pickleball courts available to students and the public, alongside popular commercial outlets such as 7-Eleven, Mixue, a self-service laundry (Dobi) and Ayam Gepuk Artisan. Beyond these trendy additions, UPTEN Square features extensively refurbished facilities and a significantly broader spectrum of cuisines, creating a dynamic and aesthetically pleasing environment for social and academic engagement.
The grand opening was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of UNITEN, Prof. Ir. Dr. Khairul Salleh Mohamed Sahari, alongside the Head of Real Estate Ventures (REV), Ir. Ts. Shahida Azizan, and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of UNITEN, Puan Nur Asharina Abd Rashid. The ceremony was also attended by representatives from the Students' Representative Council (SRC) and UPTEN’s local stall operators.
This initiative reflects UNITEN's ongoing commitment to enhancing campus infrastructure and providing a more competitive, well-rounded experience for its residents.
