15 May 2026

Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) continues to strengthen its reputation as a hub for nurturing young entrepreneurs after being crowned Champion of the Best Graduate Startup Company Award at the Majlis Anugerah Keusahawanan Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi 2025, held at Hilton Kuala Lumpur on 15 May 2026.

The prestigious recognition was awarded through IntelliLabs AI Solution, an innovative venture founded by Arinn Danish, a Software Engineering graduate from UNITEN’s College of Computing & Informatics and Huffaz Professional. The company took home a cash prize of RM20,000 along with the championship trophy. His dedication to developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and software-based solutions has not only demonstrated strong market potential, but also reflected a deep sense of empathy towards empowering education and the wider community.

In addition to this remarkable achievement, UNITEN also celebrated another milestone when Rich Legacy, a promising collaboration by students from the UNITEN Business School (UBS), successfully advanced to the final stage as a finalist in the Best Student Enterprise category.

These accomplishments are not merely individual successes, but a reflection of UNITEN’s rapidly growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. Reaching the final stage of AKKPT itself stands as a prestigious recognition of their hard work, while the perseverance, resilience, and maturity displayed throughout the competition further prove their qualities as true entrepreneurs

It is hoped that this large-scale recognition will serve as a source of motivation and inspiration for the entire UNITEN Entrepreneurship Icon community to continue innovating and striving for excellence.

Also present at the ceremony were UNITEN Vice Chancellor, Professor Ir. Dr. Khairul Salleh Mohamed Sahari; Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Experience & Alumni), Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Mat Isa; and Head of UNITEN Entrepreneurship Centre, Dr. Noor Awanis Muslim.

The prestigious event, organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), was officiated by Higher Education Minister, YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, and brought together the nation’s leading higher education institutions in recognition of their efforts to strengthen the student entrepreneurship agenda.

AKKPT 2025 is a prestigious platform that celebrates excellence among higher education institutions, academics, administrators, students and graduates within the entrepreneurship ecosystem, receiving nearly 400 submissions across 13 award categories.
