This programme provides students with a strong foundation in economic theory, quantitative analysis, and business decision-making. It integrates economics with practical business applications to develop analytical and problem-solving skills, preparing graduates for professional careers in economic analysis, policy support, finance, and business strategy across various industries.

About Programme

The Bachelor in Business Economics (Honours) is specifically designed to equip students with a strong knowledge of business and economics and their application to the real business environment. The course offered is being specifically structured to produce excellent professionals who have in-depth knowledge of business and economics and are capable of bringing out excellent ideas, especially in the Malaysian business environment. The course offered is being specifically planned to provide students with strong theoretical and practical knowledge of business economics before they can pursue the factual world of the business sectors or go on with their studies to obtain a Master’s Degree in Economics or in other MBA programmes.

The programme spans 9 semesters and can be completed within 3 years.

Entry Requirements

A -Level / GCE / GCSE / IGCSE

Pass A-Level with minimum grade C in any 2 subjects

Any 2 subjects (Grade C)

Foundation / Matriculation

Pass Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00

Diploma

Pass Diploma (Level 4, MQF) OR Pass Advance Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00

UEC

Pass UEC with a minimum of Grade B6 in 5 subjects including:-

Mathematics (Grade C9)
English (Grade C9)

STPM

Pass STPM with at least 2subjects at a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any subject

AND

Mathematics SPM(Grade E)
English SPM (Grade E)

STAM

Pass STAM with a minimum Grade of JAYYID
