Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons)
This programme focuses on the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure systems such as buildings, roads, bridges, and water facilities. It equips students with strong engineering fundamentals, practical and hands-on experience, and effective problem-solving skills to support sustainable, safe, and innovative development in the built environment.
About Programme
The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) is a four-year programme covering key areas such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation and highway engineering, water engineering, environmental engineering, project management, and construction.
Students complete an integrated design project in their final year, applying engineering and project management principles to real-world civil engineering challenges. The programme also includes industrial training at the end of the third year, providing practical industry experience and exposure to professional practices. In addition, students undertake a Final Year Project focused on research and the application of engineering knowledge to solve real-life problems.
A total of 138 credit hours are completed over eight semesters. The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) programme can be completed in 4 years.
