The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons)
This programme equips students with strong fundamentals in mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, and design. The programme focuses on developing innovative problem-solving skills to meet industry challenges, preparing graduates for careers in engineering design, manufacturing, energy systems, and research.
About Programme
The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) programme provides a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with a well-established and balanced curriculum that integrates both theoretical and experimental learning throughout the four years of study. The curriculum consists of a balanced mix of general courses and core Mechanical Engineering courses.
The programme includes a compulsory Industrial Training attachment after Semester 6 for a minimum of 12 weeks. This training provides students with hands-on industry experience, allowing them to apply their theoretical knowledge in real engineering settings while gaining valuable practical insights to prepare them for their final year and Final Year Project.
A total of 138 credit hours are offered over eight semesters. The programme can be completed within 4 years.
