The International Cooperation Unit serves as the driving force behind UNITEN’s global engagement and internationalization agenda. As a key pillar of the International Office, we work to expand the university’s global reach by building meaningful partnerships, fostering collaborations, and creating opportunities that benefit students, faculty, and the wider academic community. Our role is to ensure that UNITEN remains connected to the international education landscape while enhancing its reputation as a forward-looking global institution.

At the heart of our mission is the commitment to promote cross-cultural understanding and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise across borders. We believe that international collaboration enriches the university’s academic environment, broadens perspectives, and prepares students and staff to thrive in an interconnected world.

The core functions of the unit include:

• Establishing Global Partnerships: We actively engage with universities, research institutions, and organizations worldwide to develop strategic collaborations. These partnerships open doors to joint academic programs, student and faculty mobility, collaborative research projects, and initiatives that strengthen UNITEN’s academic standing.
• Supporting Mobility and Research: We encourage faculty and students to participate in international exchanges, research collaborations, and visiting scholar programs. By facilitating these opportunities, we promote the sharing of ideas, nurture innovation, and contribute to impactful research outcomes.
• Managing International Agreements: The unit is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and overseeing all international agreements and contracts. We ensure that collaborations are transparent, ethical, and mutually beneficial, while safeguarding the interests of both UNITEN and its partners.
• Monitoring Global Trends and Opportunities: To stay ahead in a rapidly changing global landscape, we continually monitor developments in international education and research. This enables us to identify emerging opportunities, address challenges, and design strategies that align with global best practices.
