UNITEN Recognised for Excellence in Future Energy & Engineering Education

Kuala Lumpur, October 5 — Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) was honored with the Best Future Energy & Engineering Education Award at the prestigious Private Education Excellence Awards 2026, cementing its position as a premier institution in specialized engineering and energy education.
Held at Berjaya Times Square, the event commenced with an opening address by Educoop Chairman, Ms. Vijaya Letchumi , followed by a keynote speech from Datuk Wai Cheng Lau , President of the National Association of Private Education Institutions (NAPEI). The annual awards celebrate exceptional milestones, dedication, and institutional contributions within Malaysia’s private education sector.
The award was officially received by UNITEN Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ir. Dr. Khairul Salleh Mohamed Sahari, who highlighted the significance of peer recognition within the academic community.
